Flower Power

East Spur, Feb. 19, Cleaning day in Hueco.

Every year, a week before the Rock Rodeo there's a cleaning day in Hueco. We signed up for cleaning holds and picking up trash in the park for half of a day. The other half was climbing and free burritos and beer in the evening.

The plan was to clean the problems we wanted to do later and that's how I did Flower Power. We were there a few days ago, but it was a really hot day and it felt more like V11 than V10, but I found my cool beta, so I knew exactly what to do yesterday and did it first try!

It's been some time since I've sent something hard. I've been working on my projects El Techo and Barefoot, but I'm not 100% sure if I can do any of those in a week and in such hot weather. One day it feels so close and the other too far. I don't really know. That's why it was so cool to climb the Flower Power roof yesterday! Maybe I'm back in the sending mood now :)

The V11 day

Yesterday was a special day for us. We both did our first V11 :) First, G did El Techo and then I did Dark Age. Here are the videos from bolth of us. Enjoy!

Another one from my list is done :) We're having such good and intense days here in Hueco. Looking forward to everything that's coming up!

Here is a short movie from Purple Flowers, the V9 roof I did yesterday. I think the next 5 weeks we're planning to stay here are gonna be gooooood! Time to crush!

G in one of the classics Stem Gem V4. The hardest V4 I've ever tried. There are no holds and so many ways to do it. Awesome!

Diary of a dope fiend V8. It's quite a hike to find this hidden roof. But it's really worth it. The view is awesome and the problems are really good. It begins with a crack, goes over these hueco's and ends with slopers... had to fight hard at the end!

 

 Another classic with four stars Streetcar named desire V7. A corner with bad feet and a dyno at the end...still trying.

Packing bags...

...for a trip to the States! In a week I'll be flying over the Atlantic to San Francisco CA!
Me and G, two crash pads, one big car, 68 days, from California to Texas...and endless number of amazing boulders...sweeeeet :)

We're planning to visit some new places we haven't been before. That's why we're flying to California where we'll first go to Joshua Tree for a few days and then drive to Texas.

Back to Hueco where we have some unfinished business to do! After spending one month there last January I said to myself, I really had to go back one day! I had a finger injury back then and I was just getting stronger when it was time to leave. So I left Hueco thinking about the problems I wanted to do like Loaded with power, Dark Age, Pourple Flowers,...

When it'll get hot in Hueco we'll go to Bishop. A new place to explore and new projects to find. Can't wait!!!
